4 Functions Of Management Essays

Planning is the first function of the management process. Leading is the next basic function of the management process. I have explained the four basic functions in the management process. Creative problem solving can be accomplished by using the four functions of management. Planning, organizing, leading, and controlling are the four functions of management. Leading is the most important function in the management process. My managers do not use the four functions of management. The four functions of management have been proven to work, if properly used a manager will be very successful. The management of the fire department administration as well as the management of fire companies is based on the four functions of the management process: planning, organizing, leading, and controlling. The four elements of human resource management are administrative, behavioural, motivation and strategy. (Taylor, 1967) Taylor's Four Principles of Scientific Management After having done the studies, Taylor introduces four principles of Scientific Management that determines optimal working methods. These four principles in application often result in increasing of the productivity. (Fayol, 1917) These functions define the process of management in a classical way, and classify information of most the basic management approaches. (Fayol, 1917) These five functions of Administrative Management Theory are very logical, structural.

ADMINSTRATIVE HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT Administrative HRM requires a number of basic functions which exist to signify the most crucial and accepted elements of HRM. These functions are fundamental in order for an organization to run efficiently and effectively.

My job function in the pyramid is manager of a department.

It provides the leadership and administration that will ensure that the organization runs the way that it should.

According to the online business dictionary (2011), management is defined as the organization and coordination of the activities of an enterprise in accordance with certain policies and in achievement of defined objectives.

Common to all managers, the four functions are planning, organizing, leading, and controlling. It's the first management function both because it lays the groundwork for all other functions. Controlling Controlling is related to each of the other functions of management. No matter how well the organization uses the four functions of management, it will never be an easy ride to the top. To be a successful manager I must have the knowledge and expertise to follow through on all four of these functions.

Planning Planning is a essential management function. This function of management is defining the roles and responsibilities of each team member. I also apply the four functions of management when dealing with my supervisor whenever I want to implement new suggestions or ideas. Without through understanding of the four functions of management I can not be a good effective manager...
