This summer, prepare for success in college and discover new horizons at Boston University Summer Term.

With five exciting and challenging high school summer programs to choose from, you can earn college credit, discover a new subject area, perform cutting-edge research in university labs, or immerse yourself in hands-on learning.

You will have the opportunity to push yourself academically while experiencing college life, making friends with fellow students, and engaging in social activities around Boston and on campus.

BU Summer Term offers one-, two-, three-, and six-week programs for high school students, with options to live on campus, commute from home, or study online.

Students must submit a sample of their creative work to the course instructor or the Creative Writing administrator before the start of classes.

Because admission to any of the advanced courses is not guaranteed, we recommend that you register for 202 prior to submitting a portfolio for one of the advanced writing classes.

EN 202 is not a prerequisite for any of the advanced writing classes, though we do recommend it to students who wish to pursue further creative work in the program.

All EN 202 sections can be viewed on the Student Link.

The program concludes with a “writers showcase,” in which students share one of their own pieces with their peers and other members of the BU community.
