I don't know how I control myself from the immense excitement. If there was ever an occasion during the year that appears overwhelmingly pleasant, yet in actual fact just a sordid excuse for a day, it would be Valentines day.

I've certainly never been annoyed at receiving a bouquet of flowers on Valentine's Day, or any other day for that matter, because it's nice to know that someone saw them and thought of me.
